INTERNAL OMBUDSMAN
In compliance with Section 158 of the Insurance Act 2016, Caricom General Insurance Company, Inc. has appointed an Internal Ombudsman. The Internal Ombudsman has the responsibility of investigating and ruling on complaints submitted by policyholders. These complaints may come from any Customer who is of the view that the Company has breached any of their rights relating to the products and services offered.
Your feedback is important to us. The Internal Ombudsman is always willing to listen to our Policyholders and the general public. It allows the Company to better serve you, the customers.
If you wish to lodge a complaint with Caricom General Insurance Company, Inc., please follow the steps below:
- Complaints can be made by email, letter, telephone, face to face or any other way of communication as provided by the Internal Ombudsman
- The Internal Ombudsman will record all your information on a Complaint Form.
- The Ombudsman shall resolve the matter either at the point of complaint or by way of letter within five (5) days of the complaint after investigation. All resolutions will be recorded by the company.
- It the Company determines that the complaint cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the Complainant , he/she will be issued with a Final Position letter with further steps to be taken.
